YOUNG ADULTS

Coordinators: Brent Butner and Clay Kelly

This ministry strives to fulfill a number of important needs experienced by individuals who are of college age and our young married couples. The varied activities of this ministry are designed to fulfill one central goal: to bring each person involved to a closer relationship with God and His church and to motivate and equip each person to reach out to others through service and teaching.

FAMILY TIES

Deacon: Jared Coffell

The purpose of the Family Ties Group is to connect, encourage and engage families to build bonds in Christ. Whether just embarking on marriage or raising children in a traditional or single-parent home, we are told throughout God’s Word to consider how to stir up one another in love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). Our goal is to build strong relationships among parents and children through special fellowships, events and activities. Above all, we aim to encourage spiritual growth as spouses and parents, and to teach our children at an early age to serve God and others.

Christians In Action (CIA)

Coordinator: Stacy Bates

The purpose of this group is to connect members of the congregation in similar life stages.  These stages include those who are becoming empty nesters and older married couples without kids, all the way up to those who don't feel  ready for Golden Agers.  Our goal is to build Christian friendships that help us uplift and encourage each other by participating in fellowship events, meals, and service projects.

GOLDEN AGERS

Coordinator: James Steelman

This ministry is for those who are fifty-five years old and older. We appreciate the efforts and sacrifices that many of our senior members have made in the past to assure the scriptural soundness of the Plainview congregation. This ministry provides an avenue of service for them as they utilize their talents for the church and the community while also giving them an opportunity for fellowship with each other.

WISH GROUP

Coordinator: Annetta McFarlen

This ministry was created to provide a support system for the ladies of our congregation who attend services without the help of their spouse. It is open to ladies of all ages who are single, widowed, divorced or married to non-faithful spouses. Twice each month, this group meets for a Bible study period. There are service activities and a special fellowship each month.
