MEN'S MINISTRY
Deacon: Ty Stafford
The purpose of this ministry is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up the church, the body of Christ. Most people know of the need to be a good steward of God’s blessings or they may realize the need to be a better parent but may not know how to improve in these areas. Our goal is to provide “how-to” training opportunities. Seminars and workshops are offered in stewardship, marriage enrichment, parenting tools, leadership, Putting God First Time Management, and many others. Each workshop and seminar offers not only educational opportunities but is also a chance for interested members to participate in the planning, preparation, and presentation of the event.
LADIES' MINISTRY
Coordinator: Rhonda Crumrine
This ministry involves the women of the congregation in several special works. These works fulfill special purposes and needs within the Plainview family. The programs are designed to give young and old women an opportunity to use her specific talents in a way that will glorify God.
YOUNG FAMILIES
Deacon: Justin Jordan
The purpose of this ministry is to connect, encourage and engage young families in Christ. Whether just embarking on marriage or raising young children in a traditional or single-parent home, we are told throughout God’s Word that there is strength in numbers. Our goal is to build strong relationships among parents and children through special fellowships, events and activities. Above all, we aim to encourage spiritual growth as spouses and parents, and to teach our children at an early age to serve God and others.
HOME-BUILDERS
Deacon: Nathan Stewart
The purpose of this ministry is to connect and encourage married couples with school age children, until they have raised their children and become empty nesters, in their growth as spouces, parents, and above all Christians. Their growth in these areas is encouraged by special fellowships, activities, and classes.
GOLDEN AGERS
Coordinator: James Steelman
This ministry is for those who are fifty-five years old and older. We appreciate the efforts and sacrifices that many of our senior members have made in the past to assure the scriptural soundness of the Plainview congregation. This ministry provides an avenue of service for them as they utilize their talents for the church and the community while also giving them an opportunity for fellowship with each other.
WISH GROUP
Coordinator: Annetta McFarlen
This ministry was created to provide a support system for the ladies of our congregation who attend services without the help of their spouse. It is open to ladies of all ages who are single, widowed, divorced or married to non-faithful spouses. Twice each month, this group meets for a Bible study period. There are service activities and a special fellowship each month.
